ICANN Domain Verification Statement Print

  • 1

ICANN (The Corporation for Domain Names and Internet Protocols) requires domain owners to verify their WHOIS contact information for new domain registrations, transfers, and contact modifications.

How to check contact information?

After purchasing your domain name, you will receive an email from the domain registry to confirm your contact information. Simply click the confirmation link in the email and your contact information will be confirmed.

Keep in mind that you should always use legitimate information when registering your domain name.

Why didn't I receive an email to verify my contact information?

Contact information verification is required for the following TLDs:

.com   .xyz   .net   .org   .info   .biz   .asia   .name   .mobi

Verification of contact information is not required if you have chosen a different domain extension.

When should I check my contact information?

You must confirm your contact information within 15 days of the domain registration date. The sooner you do this, the better.

How can I find out which contact email a domain verification email was sent to?

A Whois verification email was sent to the email you used to register your domain name.

What happens if I don't confirm my contact information?

If you do not verify your domain's contact information, your domain will be suspended and become unavailable. Don't worry! You can always confirm your details and your domain will start working again.
